April is National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month. Now, most people would not consider this exciting news. Poetry, after all, never really appears on the New York Times Bestseller Lists (with the exception of Seamus Heaney’s translation of Beowulf). You don’t see that many poets on national television if you don’t count C-SPAN. You don’t even see huge signs in your local bookstore with rows and rows of poetry.
