Library Resources: Spotlight on Magazines from Zinio

Zinio Digital Magazines are available free with your Chattanooga Public Library card.

The library's Resources page has a variety of exciting learning and entertainment options, all free with your library card!

You may have already discovered all the different options we offer for streaming and downloading books, movies and music, as well as access to newspapers and magazines from different sources. But did you know the library also offers cardholders the option to check out and download popular magazines from Zinio: The World's Largest Newsstand?

Zinio has recently been updated, to make checking out free digital magazines with your library card even easier! The library has also added new titles, including Vogue, WIRED, Mother Earth Living, and Parents, available for checkout to your computer or mobile device, such as a tablet or smartphone. There are no limits on the number of magazines you can check out or how long you can keep them!

To get started, visit the library's collection and create an account using the link in the top right corner. After filling in your information, you can do a title search for a specific magazine, browse by genre, or browse the whole collection.

When you find a magazine you are interested in downloading, click the cover. The most recent issue will be at the top of the page, with the back issues below. Click the blue checkout button, and you will be able to read your magazine immediately!

To read on your mobile device, download the Zinio app. You'll need to create another account (make sure to use the same email address!), this time for Zinio, which you can do through the app or on Zinio's website. Just remember to check out your magazines through the library's collection and not through the app or the Zinio website (otherwise, you'll have to buy the magazine!).
