Tech Goes Home CHA strives to ensure that all residents of Chattanooga and the greater Hamilton County area are equipped with the tools, training, and access to support 21st century skills development. The program is offered at the Chattanooga Public Library to qualified applicants and involves 15 hours of training conducted by one of our TGH-trained staff members. 
 
UPCOMING TECH GOES HOME CLASSES: 

EASTGATE
Enrolling for Communuity Classes* now at the Eastgate Branch for classes that begin March 9 and continue on Thursdays and Saturdays through April 1.
Applications are available at our Eastgate Branch and will be accepted through Wednesday, March 1. 
These community classes* are for adults 18 or older and will be offered every Thursday and Saturday from 3-5pm until April 1. Our focus in this next class will be general, and students will learn a basic understanding of how to use a Chromebook and the internet for their everyday usage. Students will learn how to create a gmail account, use google drive apps such as docs and slides, navigate the internet safely, access social media, and learn from other resources on the Tech Goes Home community resources page

* Program note on Community Classes:
  • Help participants gain access to the skills, hardware, and access needed for 21st century success. 
  • The program involves 15 hours of training conducted by a trained library staff member. 
  • Tutorials focus on topics such as how to find a job online, how to secure a professional email, how to create a custom resume, and how to discover online city resources. 

How it works:  Tech Goes Home CHA strives to ensure that all residents of Chattanooga and the greater Hamilton County area are equipped with the tools, training, and access to support 21st century skills development. The Tech Goes Home CHA program offers residents the ability to improve their quality of life as new members of the online community. Upon completion, participants have the option of purchasing a new computer for $50 and access help signing up for low-cost Internet access. Tech Goes Home helps participants gain access to the skills, hardware, and access needed for 21st century success. The program is offered at the Chattanooga Public Library to qualified applicants and involves 15 hours of training conducted by one of our TGH-trained staff members. Only residents of the state of Tennessee can take advantage of the discounted Chromebook, although residents of other states are welcome to audit the class.
