Tech Goes Home CHA strives to ensure that all residents of Chattanooga and the greater Hamilton County area are equipped with the tools, training, and access to support 21st century skills development. The program is offered at the Chattanooga Public Library to qualified applicants and involves 15 hours of training conducted by one of our TGH-trained staff members. 
 
How it works:
Tech Goes Home CHA strives to ensure that all residents of Chattanooga and the greater Hamilton County area are equipped with the tools, training, and access to support 21st century skills development. The Tech Goes Home CHA program offers residents the ability to improve their quality of life as new members of the online community. Upon completion, participants have the option of purchasing a new computer for $50 and access help signing up for low-cost Internet access. Tech Goes Home helps participants gain access to the skills, hardware, and access needed for 21st century success. The program is offered at the Chattanooga Public Library to qualified applicants and involves 15 hours of training conducted by one of our TGH-trained staff members. Only residents of the state of Tennessee can take advantage of the discounted Chromebook, although residents of other states are welcome to audit the class.
 
Community Classes
Community classes are for adults 18 or older and will be offered every Saturday from 2-4pm until May 27. Our focus in this next class will be general, and students will learn a basic understanding of how to use a Chromebook and the internet for their everyday usage. This weekly class for adults teaches how to find a job online, how to secure a professional email, how to create a custom resume, and how to discover online city resources. Upon completion of 15 hours of training, participants have the option of purchasing a new Chromebook computer for $50 and can sign up for low-cost Internet access.
