On Saturday, April at 7 p.m., come enjoy the Muse of Fire theater project's ten new plays.
The Muse of Fire Project is a cool after-school theater club for kids from all over Chattanooga. Kids from a variety of backgrounds come together at the Chattanooga Public Library downtown branch once a week for ten weeks to create original theater pieces. Adults then act the plays in front of a live audience as the playwright joins them on stage to watch their works come to life. If a playwright includes a song in his or her masterpiece, the adults will set it to music.
The work is based on The 52nd Street Project in New York City and Daniel Sklar’s book, “Playmaking: Children Writing and Performing their own Plays.”
