Book Club in a Bag

Introducing Book Club in a Bag! This new collection features 10 “book clubs” ready to go with sturdy tote bags that include 10 copies of a book, a magnifying glass, a recommended reading list, and book discussion questions.

The collection was selected by a team of librarians and features a variety of award winners, bestsellers, and more. Each bag has everything you need to host a book club discussion with a guide that has questions made up from guides from publishers, authors, and your very own Chattanooga Public Library staff!

Book Club in a Bag is perfect for New Book Clubs, Existing Book Clubs, Senior Centers, Assisted Living facilities, and anyone and everyone in between!

How to Checkout a Book Club in a Bag:
  • Browse the collection below or via our catalog. 
  • Visit the library branch specified for the bag of your choice.
  • Bags may be checked out for 6 weeks. They are not renewable.
  • The kit will be checked out on the library card of the person picking up the bag. That patron is completely responsible for the bag and all of its contents.
  • No more than 1 kit may be borrowed at one time by a patron.
  • The Book Club Bag must be returned with all its contents at the same time.
  • Bags can be returned to any library branch, but they must be returned inside the Library (please do not put them in a bookdrop).
