
The City of Chattanooga’s Office of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy (ACCE) presents a new event series with the Chattanooga Public Library’s 4th Floor: Culture on 4. This new series debuts Saturday, November 2, 2024, with a presentation from writer and producer Brent Forrester, known for Emmy-winning shows such as The Simpsons, The Office, King of the Hill and more.
Through Culture on 4, ACCE is bringing the world of arts, culture and entertainment to Chattanooga. Featuring intimate conversations with talented artists, writers and performers, these events will inspire anyone looking to start or expand a career in arts and entertainment.
Carmen Davis, ACCE Senior Director, said, “We are excited to introduce ‘Culture on 4’ as a new platform for creative dialogue in Chattanooga. By partnering with the Chattanooga Public Library, we are bringing nationally renowned talents like Brent Forrester directly to our community, inspiring artists, writers, and innovators. These conversations are a unique opportunity for anyone passionate about the arts to gain insights and be motivated by those who have shaped the entertainment industry. We look forward to fostering new connections and sparking creative pursuits through this series.”
The November 2nd event will feature special introductions from Ms. Davis and City of Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly, a talk from Mr. Forrester, and a Q&A session. There will also be complimentary refreshments, courtesy of the Chattanooga Public Library Foundation.
“We are thrilled to host this new series with ACCE,” said Library Executive Director Will O’Hearn. “As many know, public libraries are the place to learn and create, and there’s no better place to do that than our 4th Floor, where we offer more than 12,000 square feet of space and technology for artists and entrepreneurs of any skill level. When you get inspired by Culture on 4, we’ll be ready for ‘action!’”

About Brent Forrester: Brent Forrester won his first Comedy Writing Emmy at age 25 for his work on “The Ben Stiller Show.” He went on to write for “The Simpsons,” helped launch “King of The Hill,” and was a writer, producer and director at NBC’s “The Office” for seven seasons. He’s written for “Late Night with Conan,” HBO’s “Mr. Show,” and “The Larry Sanders Show,” and continues to work as a Head Writer on Netflix shows like Judd Apatow’s “Love” and Steve Carrell’s “Space Force,” along with Amazon shows like Greg Daniel’s “Upload” and “People of Earth.”
