|Recurring Events (See all)
January 2-January 5th

Teen Girls!

The Chattanooga Public Library is partnering with GOLD Comedy to offer a free 4 day camp for girls ages 13-18 concluding with a live stand up competition at The Palace Theater featuring all our campers!  The winner of this competition will get to open for a professional standup show!

Camp will run from 9am-1pm every day from Jan 2-5. On Jan 5th there will be an additional show in the evening where all comediennes will perform and compete (time TBD).

Local performer Grace Holtz will join us as a mentor with library staff in a colearning environment where we’ll tackle GOLD Comedy’s online course together. Thanks to the generosity of the folks at GOLD Comedy we’re able to offer this class for free! A variety of local performers will join us daily to give guest performances and we’ll bulk up the course with plenty of practice using a stage, mics, and being videoed as performers.
