
The Chattanooga Public Library presents Picture This, a series of programs providing opportunities for anyone in our community to learn the basics of photography and specific photography skills for free! Some programs will involve partnerships with experts or special guests, all will incorporate resources available to everyone on the 4th Floor. No prior experience or expertise required.

Picture This: Product Photography
Join the Chattanooga Public Library for a product photography workshop in the 4th Floor Makerspace’s Photo Studio. During Picture This: Product Photography you’ll get a chance to try out the 4th Floor’s digital cameras, learn about lighting products for best results, and build your own DIY light box. We encourage you to bring your own device to try out what you’ve learned! Spots are limited and (free) reservation is required.

Picture This: Photography Lighting 101 *RSVP opens on June 14
Join the Chattanooga Public Library in the 4th Floor Photography Studio to learn all about lighting for photography! When you attend Picture This: Photography Lighting 101 you will learn the basic rules of lighting, the best ways to break those rules, and tips and tricks for producing the look you want no matter what you’re photographing or where you’re doing it. Bringing your own camera to try out what you’ve learned is encouraged but not required. All supplies and instructions will be provided! Spots are limited and (free) reservation is required.
