Meetings are open to the public, and SYRBGS welcomes anyone interested in learning more about African American genealogy and discovering ancestors of African descent.

Foster, President of the Walker County African American Historical and Alumni Association (WCAAHAA), will discuss the Association and their many accomplishments in Walker County, including the Walker County African American Museum and Multicultural Center, and the proposed Walker County African American Memorial and Community Park.
