POSTPONED! Please note, our January 17 event has been postponed due to weather in the region. Please check back soon for a new date!

Trade workers and general job seekers, join us at the Eastgate Library January 17, for an open house with the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development and the Mobile American Job Center!

Drop by the Eastgate Library between 10 am and 2 pm on Wednesday, January 17, to learn more about the State’s Trade Adjustment Assistance Program, as well as other job placement assistance options available. Plus, the Library will have free professional clothing on hand for anyone who needs them!

About the Trade Adjustment Assistance Program
Resolute Forest, Granite Source Acquisitions/Premier Surfaces, International Automotive Components (IAC), Kayser-Roth, and other Trade impacted companies:
If you are a worker who was laid off from a company that was Trade affected and have a certified petition, you are entitled to request services under the TAA program. TAA may assist you in obtaining the skills and credential by offering you the necessary support to become re-employed.

For more information, email tracy.x.powers@tn.gov or call 615-532-9866.

About the Free Work/Interview Clothing
The Library’s Work/Interview Clothing Collection was generously started by employees at Unum Insurance, who collected donations. Since, we have received dozens of additional donations through the Chattanooga Public Library Foundation. Laundered, gently-used professional clothing is available for FREE at all workforce-related events offered through the Chattanooga Public Library.
