“Writing from the Heart” Workshop with Author Jean L.S. Patrick

In this workshop, you’ll learn to look within yourself for details and emotions as you write for yourself and others. In the process, you’ll discover your own writing voice and the value of imperfection. Bring paper or laptop. We’ll be meeting in the 3rd Floor board room.
Jean L.S. Patrick is the author of severage award-winning books, including The Girl Who Struck Out Babe Ruth.
After the workshop, join us at 2 pm in the Local History & Genealogy Dept. for an interactive, hands-on storytelling event with Patrick, hosted in conjunction with our special exhibition, Home Runs & Home Teams: A History of the National Pastime in Tennessee, on view at the Downtown Library now through March 18.
