The Chattanooga Public Library just built and opened The Studio, a professional recording studio in our downtown branch featuring industry standard equipment and professionally lead workshops and learning opportunities. The Studio is already home to the Chattanooga Times Free Press weekly live Facebook event, Music Wednesdays, and we’re just getting started!
Now the library is teaming up with the pros over at Dynamo Studios to bring you their exclusive Audio Engineering & Production classes taught at the Chattanooga Public Library.

ABOUT THIS CLASS:
AUDIO MIXING 101
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH 4:00-6:00PM
After any recording session the music has a few more steps to go through before it is ready to be released for everyone to enjoy. The first step following the recording and editing process is the mixing stage. During this stage a mix engineer will edit and manipulate the audio so that all of the different parts of the song fit together the way they are supposed to. This is one of the most important pieces of the puzzle because it is what going to separate the artists’ music from everyone else in the industry. During this class students will learn the basics of mixing audio from a real recording session.
