Library Resources: Spotlight on WestlawNext

Thanks to a generous gift from the Chattanooga Bar Association, we are excited to offer access to WestlawNext, an in-depth legal research system.

To use WestlawNext, you will need to use one of the library’s computers, using either your library card or a Guest Pass, available for $1.

Once logged on, you will find legal content including primary and secondary law, analytical materials, insights, litigation resources, public records, and much more! All content is searchable from a search bar at the top of the page, and you’ll be able to limit your results to Tennessee law, federal law, or use other filters to best target your search.

You can use plain-English in your searches, so even if you don’t know the specific legal terms, WestlawNext can help you find what you’re looking for. This search bar searches across all WestlawNext content, including databases, books, and collections. You can choose to target your search to a specific database or book.

WestlawNext content is analyzed by experts and organized to be easily findable using their state-of-the-art search technologies. Results are ranked by relevance to help you find exactly what you’re looking for quickly.
