The Studio
The Studio at the Chattanooga Public Library provides library card holders access to a state of the art recording studio and educational facility with industry standard equipment and resources to help inspire, educate, and spark creativity.

Open Studio Blocks
With a valid library card you can reserve two 3-hour sessions a month in the Studio to work on your projects, learn the art of recording from our instructor, and refine your skills. Upon submitting your library card information, you will receive an email going over the studio guidelines and procedures.

If you don’t believe you received an email, please check your spam folder. Due to high demand, Open Studio sessions are sometimes not available for up to two weeks from the current date.
Space
- The studio is located on the 2nd floor of the Downtown Chattanooga Public Library branch.
- The studio consists of three live rooms; vocal booth, drum room, live room and the main control room.
- The studio is just under 1,000 square feet.
- The studio features 48 line inputs, including 40 microphone preamps.
- The studio is an educational facility.
- No food or drink allowed inside the studio.
- The studio is not designed to connect personal computers to the system for recording, but a laptop can be connected to the monitors for mixing and mastering purposes.
- All work must be saved on a personal hard drive or transferred via AirDrop or cloud storage; Google Drive, Dropbox etc.
