Ages 0-5

KinderStarts

Grownups with kids preparing for kindergarten are invited to sign up for KinderStarts! This virtual 13-week program starts the first week of May and runs until the end of July. Every Monday and Wednesday, there will be a new chattlibrary.tv video composed of songs, rhymes, and other activities incorporating the letters of the alphabet, numbers, and other concepts to help kids prepare for kindergarten. A corresponding activity packet, complete with a personalized sheet for your child to practice writing their name, will be available for pick up from your branch of choice. You can sign-up anytime.

Baby Bounce

Every Wednesday and Friday mornings at 10 am, Ms. Princess and Ms. Margaret have brand new Baby Bounce videos for you on YouTube. Baby Bounce is for parents and caregivers of little ones ages 0 to 18 months. With your baby on your lap, together we’ll sing and play and begin the fascinating and lifelong journey of joyful learning.

Toddler Time

Every Monday and Tuesday mornings at 10 am, Ms. Halle and Ms. Erica have brand new Toddler Time videos for you on YouTube. Toddler Time is an action-packed informal learning program for children ages 18 months to 36 months and their parents and caregivers. Toddlers and adults will learn new songs, rhymes and fingerplays, and share books.

Preschool Storytime

Every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10 am, Ms. Erica, Ms. Margaret and Ms. Claire have brand new Preschool Storytime videos for you on YouTube. Preschool Storytime is for children ages 3 to 5 years old accompanied by their favorite adult. Have fun with little ones by engaging in stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, crafts, and so much more.

Little Learners

Little brains are capable of great things! Stimulate your little ones ages 0-5 with our Little Learners videos every Tuesday on YouTube. Our children’s staff make learning fun!

Can’t get enough of our storytimes? Try Dial-a-Story! Call (423) 643-7702 any time or day and listen to 11 different children’s stories from your favorite staff members, in English and en Español! Stories are updated every week, so call back often.

Plus, tune the last Thursday of the month for a Sew What Kids video. Projects include quilting, macrame, plarn weaving, embroidery, and even cooking! All ages are welcome to participate, but we do recommend help from an adult for those under 10.
